In March of 2020, the Healthy Communities Partnership, with lead partner Urban Seeds, launched Nourish. Nourish is a community food buying club that offers participants convenient online grocery shopping at prices up to 40% lower than big box stores. In addition to this, Nourish also offers customized education for members such as, shopping on a budget, meal planning, basic nutrition, and cooking skills. While Covid-19 has forced Nourish to adapt, the program is still operating and is currently in the process of adding new members. What makes Nourish such an exciting program is that it addresses many of the challenges people face in eating nutritious foods. price, convenience, and lack of familiarity.
